Discaerator 4000
The new single pass cultivator with a 4 metre working width - the Discaerator
4000. Effectively offering a 33% increase in output over the successful Discaerator 3000 it
is sure to appeal to the larger farmer and contractor.
The well-proven concept of the Discaerator has been taken a step further not only
in productivity but also in design, as the 4000 is totally different to the 3000
in that it’s a trailed machine. The separate cultivation units and roller are individually
mounted on an exceptionally robust mainframe.
All new configuration allows the operator a multiplicity of choice in working depth
for both discs and legs, enabling optimum settings for differing soil conditions,
with the flexibility to change, for example to work deeper on tramlines. This also
offers the opportunity to save fuel when only shallow cultivation is required.
With the combination of quality and design McConnel has created a single pass cultivation
machine for all conditions with the ultimate flexibility. .

Hydraulic height adjustment of legs
For quick and easy adjustment the parallel mounted frame height can be
moved hydraulically and set with ramlocks in 18 increments. The leg settings are independent to the discs and the maximum working depth is 410mm (16”). |

Ramlocks
Working depth of legs can be accurately set by simply swiveling the desired
number of 10mm thick Ramlocks into place. This supports the hydraulic ram during
work and ensures a constant working depth. |

Machine Configuration
The Discaerator 4000 has the option of 7 or 9 leg configurations to suit
soil types and tractor power. Furthermore, the Disc unit can be completely removed
simply if the situation arises. |

Compact Transport Position
The Discaerator 4000 has hydraulic folding wings reducing the width to
2.8m, whilst the wheels are lowered into transport mode hydraulically. Both are
secured with transport locks. Hydraulic brakes are fitted as standard. |

Safety Feature
Mechanical break back legs are fitted as standard using a 4 life shear bolt system. The optional hydraulic break back legs have an auto-reset function that resets, fully independently, without operator input. |

Mixing Discs
The disc unit features two rows of 500mm concave serrated discs. The two
rows work the soil in opposite directions leaving a fine tilth. Each disc is individually
mounted on the frame and features a rubber shock absorber for increased durability
and low maintenance. |

Leg Design
The unique design of the McConnel legs do not mix subsoil with topsoil,
but heave and aerate. Conventional cultivator legs mix the soil and bring
unwanted subsoil to the surface. |

Slim Profile Legs
Slim profile shanks slice through the soil like the prow of a ship which
reduce draught. Conventional square shanks cause excess draught and increase horse power requirements. |

The Ridge Packer
The Ridge Packer Roller is designed to give the best possible finish for
all conditions. 71mm ridges on the 600mm roller gives a quality finish creating
an ideal seedbed after just one pass. |

Parallel Lift Frame
The exceptionally robust mainframe of the Discaerator 4000 incorporates
a parallel lift system. This ensures the legs and discs enter and exit the
ground at the optimum angle. |

Road Lighting Kit
Road legal lighting and Marker boards are fitted as standard for maximum
visibility and safety when in transport. |
|

Choice Of Points
Legs can be fitted with a choice of standard or wide delta
points, both available as slip on or knock on. The Delta point has a wider wing giving greater
heave when working in shallow depths. |
